Hey there gang,I'm new here! My name's Tom,and I hail from the Netherlands.I'm a long time phan,ever since my parents took me to see the Dutch musical of the Phantom Of The Opera,I was hooked for life! These days I�m an amateur make-up artist and musician,and my dream is to play the Phantom one day on stage,because people always compliment me on my singing.I'm working on some latex appliances based on Lon Chaney Sr.'s make-up,if they turn out well,I could sell some few kits to you guys. I was looking around on Wikipedia and found that on Feb 16, 2007 ALW announced that he is writing a sequel for POTO on stage..

Does anyone know more about this? Like, what it's about, etc.

hey wow its been a while since i posted anything besides today. any way so when i was at camp we have this thing called the camper cabret. so i sang the title song as a solo. so before i went on he asked me wht i was doing i said the title song off of phantom he said "isn't that a duet?" i said yes i asked how do you know and he siad "i played the phantom at one point" i asked was it alw's muiscal he said yes. i was shoked i had my mask in my hand but i totly for got to get ...

i was watching the movie evita on thursday and i relized antonio banderez played che in the movie i relized he would have made a good phantom to but gerard butler is better (my oppinion of corse) i found a video of him and shara brightman and antonio banderez singing the phantom of the opera he did a prety good job at it he did awsome in evita so he would have beena good secound choice

I love this musical.

I saw the West End production earlier this year. I went expecting to hate it but was pleasantly surprised.

I saw the film the day it was released in the UK and have now seen it 3 times in the cinema....hopefully I'll be able to go a couple more times.

Meryl Streep was amazing! I was already a huge fan of hers, but she was the highlight of this film. A couple of cast members aren't the best singers but I think that just adds to the charm of the film.

I'm looking for people who like the 1943 movie of Phantom.

I think the filmakers took the story a little too far. The Phantom being a violinst in the Opera orchestra, I like that. But I didn't like the concept of the Phantom not being in the Opera already.

But I love ''Lullaby of the Bells'' it's wonderful. Susanna Foster sings it beautifully.

I just recently found the little slip of paper that told who would be playing the Phantom the night I went to see POTO like two years ago. I think we were supposed to have John Cudia, but we got his understudy, Jason Mills.�

He was really good, but I've never heard any talk of him before. Anyone else know anything about him, seen him, or something?

Christine's Feelings for The Phantom

This refers more to the ALW musical, but the novel could be included in your decision, if you'd like.

My question to you is this:

Do you believe that, towards the end of the story, Christine began to experience feelings for the Phantom? Either sexual, loving, or simply caring/ adorarion of him.

I don't want any Phantom/Christine love relationship talk, or comments like "She always loved Erik," etc. Just answer the question in your own opinion using whatever medium (film, ...

Anne Hathaway as Christine

It is public knowledge that ALW was considering Anne Hathaway (of Princess Diaries, Becoming Jane, etc. fame). However, he later chose Emmy Rossum, of course, for his 2004 POTO film adaption.

Joel Schumacher also suggested Natalie Portman, but, Andrew wanted a younger actress who had been trained in singing.

Anne Hathaway had to decline the role because of engagements with the Princess Diaries sequel (ugh! ).

I think she would have done a great job as Christine. At first, I was wondering ...
