I have heard several opinions and ideas as to the doll in Music of the Night; some say it was really a doll that was triggered to fall when Christine stepped on a certain mechanism, others say it was really another actress.

I have tried to contact the RUG company, but have received no reply.
I know in the film version, the doll was actually Emmy Rossum, after her face was covered in wax to give her a toyish appearance. But, I am so curious about the stage show doll.
In the Final Lair Scene, it is lying in the throne, but...

Thanks!

I think I recall hearing somewhere that in the part of the play in which the doll springs foreward, it is an actress. But after the Music of the Night scene, she's replaced by a doll like in Down Once More.

yes, i knew in DOM it was a doll. I argued with my parents forever over the doll in the film [is it emmy? yes! no it isnt!] and the stageshow [that so was an actress! was not! yes! no!] Rolling Eyes
A friend of mine who administrates an Emmy Fan Forum somehow contacted her with 40 questions and her being the doll was one of them Razz

I know its an actress during MOTN, having spoken to the swing who was covering the role the night I went and having tried on the wig (couldn't resist another little showing-off there Razz ). I asked if it was hard and she said no, but its very hot! She showed me the scary mask they wear too, a different one based on each Christine actress. I only saw the 'Celia Graham' mask because they've lost the 'Rachel Barrell' one! Rolling Eyes

Also, theres some rehearsal footage of Sarah and Michael rehearsing POTO and MOTN, and in that, theres an actress stood in the mirror and springs forward at the right moment.

And finally..a useful link

(I really should be revising instead of making these detailed posts Rolling Eyes )
