I'll be in NYC for a week this summer, and am already planning to see Phantom, but, am not sure if I should then see Wicked next, or Chicago. I've seen them both several times, but, can't decided! Originally, we were going to see RHPS, Jekyll and Hyde, or Hunchback of Notre Dame, but, my mom wants Wicked or Chicago.
Opinions?
I'm leaning toward Chicago, myself...

Hmm, yeah maybe Chicago. I need to see that again, I only saw the UK tour in 2004. I'd love to see Wicked again too but my mum hated it so I'd have a hard time persuading her to go back with me. Also, the Wicked tickets seem to be the most expensive in the West End.

I'm in London for the week, as I've mentioned before, in August. I've booked Phantom twice and we're seeing Spamalot again (front row for Spamalot and one of the Phantom shows!) I'd like to see Mary Poppins because it closes in London in january I think, and also the play The Woman in Black. Lack of money is becoming a problem though, I have too many addictions! (and no I'm not talking drugs and alcohol, i mean theatre, DVDs and cosmetics!) Wink Laughing

I wish I could get back to NYC again, I miss it!

David Hasselhoff was recently in Chicago. I'm surprised it didnt close down in 8 weeks like Jekyll & Hyde. Anywho, we will probably see Chicago. Wicked gets boring.

Actually, now that we have booked (fourth row center--we were too late for second row--I hate first row in anything, anyway.) -now that we have booked, my Dad wants to see the Evil Dead Musical! Laughing We may sometime, since you can buy tickets at the door.

4th row sounds good! Why do you hate the front row? I love it, there are no heads to get in your way and the cast can see you at the curtain call and you can get eye contact!

It depends on the theatre. Some are better than others. I hated first row at the Gershwin seeing Wicked because I had to hold me head at a 90 degree angle, looking practically at the ceiling. Other theatres are better, such as Proctor's, where there is a large gap between the row and stage.

I LOVE Evil Dead: The Musical!!
My theatre did it in February and I was Shelley and Annie. It was great! Very Happy The blood was horrible to act around though... And when Shelley gets shot... I was so afraid on the first night that the wire that pulls me back would snap or something... But it didn't and the show ended up being GREAT.
When I sang "All The Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons", I couldn't help but laugh at the lines:
"All my college boyfriends and my one night stands,
My male co--workers and platonic gay friends,
every date I go on ends in demon blood shed
And now that I've met you two guys, I know you'll soon be dead!"

it's so funny... I started laughing as soon as I finished that line. I was so embarrassed...
