I love this musical.
I saw the West End production earlier this year. I went expecting to hate it but was pleasantly surprised.
I saw the film the day it was released in the UK and have now seen it 3 times in the cinema....hopefully I'll be able to go a couple more times. Laughing
Meryl Streep was amazing! I was already a huge fan of hers, but she was the highlight of this film. A couple of cast members aren't the best singers but I think that just adds to the charm of the film.
Anybody else seen it?
(its become my new obsession) Embarassed

5 times! Whoa! Haha, I love ABBA but I'm just not a fan of the musical itself. I've only seen the film 2 times (I was forced to go the second time Embarassed ) and I've seen the musical only through bootlegs.
I love the cast of the film though. Especially Meryl Streep. :]
I don't like how the main character is blonde though, while all the musical poster versions show her with dark hair. It annoys me. Simple an OCD thing, I guess Razz

I finally got to go see it with my mom. ABBA was popular in "her day," but I love them too. I really liked the movie! Not bad at all for not having people better known for singing. Although I was disappointed they never revealed the girl's real father.

I only saw Phantom once at the cinema because I saw it towards the end of its run there.
I'm on a break from the Phantom stage show for the same reason as Mamma Mia....it was starting to lose its magic for me. Embarassed
I miss it though, which probably means its safe to go back fairly soon. Laughing
I'm not missing Mamma Mia yet though! No
